Yoga Resources: Here are my favorite yoga books and gear
If you’re just catching fire for Yoga and want to explore this philosophy further, then this is an epic list that will get you straight to the core of Yoga.
I’ve also included my favorite everyday yoga gear because it’s sometimes hard to know what you really need for a daily practice. You don’t need much, or anything at all really!

My Favorite Yoga Books
I’m a major reader and also a yogi, so I consume yoga books voraciously (here, I’m using a big word so you believe me).
While I have read dozens of yoga books, these are my absolute favorites that I reference over and over again.
I study classical Hatha Tantra Yoga, so you’ll find that most of my books are from this perspective. I also am particularly interested in feminine and masculine energy, so I really like books about Shakti energy. I’ve included my favorite Shakti reference book here.
Yoga Life by my friend Brett Larkin is sooooooo beautiful. She breaks down core yoga philosophes and then teaches you how to create your own practice based on these core principles. At the same time, she does this through the lens of feminine energy and how to lean into its power. Her resulting practice is very gentle and empowering. I draw a lot of inspiration from her!

My Everyday Yoga Gear
As for yoga gear, this is what I use every single day:
JadeYoga Voyager Yoga Mat
I’ve tried a lot of yoga mats and Jade just makes my favorite mats overall. I like this lightweight mat because it packs up easily and I can take it anywhere. It’s super grippy but doesn’t wear down. I like these Gaiam yoga blocks because they’re made of foam, which makes them comfortable during restorative poses. And this bolster pillow is so comfy, I love using it in restorative poses at the end of my practice.
Join my newsletter to explore these books with me. Each week, I discuss different Yoga concepts and reference these books. I also include an exclusive online yoga class that you can only access through the newsletter. (If you become a paid member, then you can see my entire collection of online classes I’ve sent in a newsletter.)
Just gonna drop this right here …
